Around almost every corner in quaint Dordogne towns like St. Genies, lies a wonderful painting opportunity. This sunny late afternoon in April provided me with lovely, purplish shadows to enhance the already intricate layering of the ancient buildings, towers and turrets that rose behind the low churchyard wall, now long overgrown with lush vegetation.
